Thanks to everybody for your AMAZING response to Marty?s upcoming DVD, ?99 Secret Lead Guitar Phrases?. Some final touch-ups and upgrades to the DVD have caused us to push back the release until further notice. It will be worth the (hopefully very short) wait. A lot of you have written about the signed copies- do not worry, Marty will be signing the first batch that will only be available to visitors of this site. UNITED AIRLINES' TED AIRLINES is featuring Marty's "Ripped" from Music For Speeding on their in-flight music program-cool!
Marty will be contributing a song to the ?D1 GRAND PRIX? album on AVEX slated for a March 2005 release. The song "Asphalt Animal" was recorded in Tokyo with Gackt Drummer Ryu Nishida and bassist Masaki.
Due to the popularity of Marty?s ?Nasty Machine? which was the theme song for the SONY Playstation 2 ?Formula 1 2004?, Marty has been approached to write the theme song to the upcoming ?Formula 1 2005? game. Recording will commence in early 2005.
Tokyo Walker Magazine sponsors 3 new Marty songs each month and they are available for upload in Japanese cell phones. (CD Quality!!)

As 2004 comes to a close, all of us at www.martyfriedman.com would like to take a moment to mourn the passing of fellow guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. He was truly one of a kind as a musician, band member and a human being. His presence will be sorely missed, no question. R.I.P. Dime.
