Marty working with Queen producer Mack! PLUS Tour Update!!
01 May 2004
Marty's tour comments!

Marty was at Heartbeat Studios in Tokyo where he just completed guitars on a special track to be mixed in 5.1 surround sound by legendary Queen producer Mack ("Another One Bites The Dust", "Dragon Attack", etc.) The tune will be available as a bonus track on an upcoming DVD that is in the works. According to Marty, "No one has more experience in layering guitars the way I like them than Mack. And I am honored to have him working on this track. The song is something along the lines of taking 'Cheer Girl Rampage' up to the next level somehow." Stay tuned to this site for more DVD info and release details. Also working on the project is engineer/producer Allen Isaacs (Sex Machine Guns, Okamoto Mayo).

Marty laid down a solo for pro wrestler Chris Jericho and his upcoming Fozzy record, along with Zakk Wylde and Mark Tremonti from Creed. Marty says, "Those guys are great players and the producer, Rick Beato is a friend of mine as well as a smoking guitarist~he's the kind of guy you just wanna hate because he is so damn good! Anyway, the tune is about the heaviest track I've played in a while."

Thanks to the great people at Sony, Marty's tune, "nastymachine" has been chosen as the theme for an up and coming PlayStation 2 game. Lots of details to come about this very soon at this site.

Aikawa Nanase's 2004 "Live Emotion" tour is underway and Marty shares his comments--
"This tour is a total blast so far. It is a joke how tight this band is. The setlist has changed drastically from the last tour. We are doing a bunch off the new album, all the hits as well as some obscure tunes too. It's a full on stamina kind of show, about 2 hours and 15 minutes or so. I saw a few American (well, non Japanese anyway!) faces in the crowd at the Nagano show and I can't help but think that they got turned on to the music via this site, and if so, then I'm really glad to have introduced them to the music. It's really cool, and fun as hell to play. Check it out~~! I'll be updating the Japanese section of the site with some tour thoughts and comments when I get a moment to breathe. Thanks for your patience!!"
Please stay tuned to this site as more tour dates will likely be added. The Kobe show will be filmed and broadcast on nationwide TV. The producers have rigged a 'guitar-cam' which will be attached to Marty's guitar for this show! Exact broadcast times and stations to follow.
