Do You Have What It Takes??
22 October 2003
Marty's new production team

Marty and multi-platinum producer/engineer Allen Isaacs have formed a music production team in Tokyo. They will be based out of Tokyo and Los Angeles and will be putting their musical stamp on artists focusing on introducing their American influences into the massive Japanese pop market as well as bringing their vast knowledge of the current Japanese modern music scene into the American market.
Allen Isaacs is known in Japan for producing Mayo Okamoto's multi-platinum debut single, "Tomorrow" as well as engineering and producing heavy metal band Sex Machine Guns latest 3 albums that have all sold in the millions.
Isaacs and Friedman are seeking fresh new talent to record and along with talent contest events that are being held in Tokyo in December and January, they will be accepting audition packages from musicians who come to this site. Although singers male and female are the focus of the auditions, they are also considering songwriters, guitarists and other musicians of any instrument who have their own unique style. If this is something for you, send your bio and demo to:

More info about this will be updated on this site.

(UPDATE) Please note that packages will not be returned. As expected, we have received many demos from guitarists. Many great players out there! Please remember though that what we are looking for are artists and not session players. Ideally what we are going for is an artist with a unique musical style, image and songs, most preferably a vocalist. (M.F.)

In other news, Marty will appear on the nationwide broadcast of "Music Fair" in Japan. This popular program is also available on many satellite systems around the world. Marty will tape his segment on 11/11, so the broadcast date will likely be within the following week. Check back here for the exact broadcast time. This is Marty's first ever appearance on "Music Fair" so see it if you can!

Also-Marty's 10/19 show with Aikawa Nanase is at an Osaka all girls college. It is a limited capacity show of 2,500 and only students of this college can attend. As Marty would say, "hmm..."

5 more shows in Japan throughout the year with Aikawa Nanase including the "Countdown" live television program on New Year's Eve.

There will be 9 events for MI Japan as well as a clinic tour of South America for Ibanez in the works. Marty will feature his new SZ model guitar. This is the axe that he beat violently in the Guitarevolution shows.

There will also be a February 14th event in Bangkok, Thailand.

Those of you in Japan, do not forget to look out for Aikawa Nanase's upcoming single, "Ai no Uta" coming out this winter. This is probably the hardest rocking track in her collection, it's no coincidence that Marty laid down walls of guitars for this tune.
