Hey Marty, Big fan of yours here, I can't believe you answer questions from your fans, that's pretty cool of you to do. Anyway my questions is in regards to Film/Videogame scores (not 8 bit). I thought I heard in an interview of some sort that you listen to film scores to influence your playing, and I know its all personal preference but in what aspect? I love to listen to scores and I just don't know how to incorporate it into my music. I was thinking maybe learning them by ear on guitar, but I'm not sure. Learn EVERYTHING that remotely interests you by ear. That is a good habit. Actually, those are the only things that are worth learning.
