Hi Marty, it would take me years to explain your influence on your guitar playing and I know you don't have a lot of time so I will try to keep this short. I have been strongly considering moving to japan a year or two after I get out of college, my senior year I plan on taking as many japanese classes as possible in language, history , etc. I was wondering other than the videos I've watched on youtube about how one should go about learning japanese and stuff like that, is there any general advise you would give a fellow musician who lives in the states who wants to live in japan. Okay I couldn't resist you are by far the greatest guitar play I've ever heard and I can't wait until I can watch you play guitar live one day!!! :) |

I get this all the time, I can`t stress how important speaking the language is. NOt only for Japan, but ANY country. Think about it, if you knew a great musician, but he spoke like a 2nd grader, do you think he could work and function in America? It wouldn`t matter if you are the next superstar if you can`t fill out a tax form...or explain an idea. Take that advice seriously and best of luck. |
