  Title : al pitrelli?

  QUESTION:

What are your thoughts on Al Pitrelli as a guitarist? I thought he was next in
line in the evolution of Megadeths guitarists and in Megadeth evolving from a
speed metal rooted band to a classic hard rock band. Since Al has a hot licks
video out called \"rock guitar theory and beyond\". He really is a superior
talented guitarist. You can tell in his solo from promises. It conveys a
deeper sentiment than any solo you ever recorded with Megadeth, yet it is so
simple. Too bad Al hasn\'t been given a chance to shine. \"The world needs a
hero\" was more of Dave getting back in touch with his hard rock roots. After
all, Dave Mustaine was about to invent modern classic music, and every other
popular music genre that is out there. Think about it. On TWNAH, \"burning
bridges\" is heavy metal. \"Promises\" is a beautiful love ballad. \"Losing my
senses\" is alternative. \"Moto psycho\" is hard rock. Dave was onto
something in redefining modern classic music as we now it. So, what are your
thoughts on Al Pitrelli. I would classify you as a advanced guitar player,
but Al is a superior guitar player. I\'m not trying to put you down, just
explaining the truth. I love how megadeths music conveys real intrinsic
meaning and real emotion. Due largely in part to Dave being a guitar genius
and the classic maestro of modern secular music. He needs to start writing
more positive affirming songs though if he wants to really make it big.
Because the world does need a hero and songs like \"moto psycho\" are too
unwholesomely gloomy. Get my point. I love your solo music, but your new album
sounds like it is a bit on the sensual side. I\'m a devout catholic and the
only metal band that I listen to is Megadeth, because I believe that you are a
good bunch of guys with class and integrity. Well, whats your take on all
this? See ya. Arnold Seaver
