Marty,
I have always been inspired by your technique and style of playing. Though I never heard of you until Megadeth YOU are the reason I decided to pick up a guitar. 16 years later I am self taught but not up to par. Just recently I have a new appreciation for learning my chords, scales, ect. (all the sudden the light bulb turned on) and I comprehend it all now. Is there any advice you can give as to how I can learn this stuff quickly ( i.e. is there a similar pattern to everything?) I am learning at astounding rates as compared to the past 15 years, but I feel I am still WAY far behind my capability. You as a solo artist and Megadeth years have been my major influence on style and techinque. In my opinion, when you joined Megadeth hit an ALL time peak in regards to complication and difficulty in guitar riffs. I wish I could still find a copy of your "scenes" album but I am unsucessful in doing so...any suggestions and response would be most appreciated, thank you for being so insiprational and I hope to be ALMOST as good as you someday, may good health and good fortune bless you in the years to come, and thank you for all you've given and contributed to guitar players around the world!!
Most Respectfully,
Tony Perrin (In Tucson, AZ!!)
