Hey, Marty! I`ve got a question to you. Actually it not refers to playing tips, its about human consciousness. I mean this ugly fears and doubts that are really our traitors!
I`m 19. I`ve been playing guitar for 2 years. At home basically.
Well, I`m not really a beginner ... but there`s a long way for me to become an advanced guitarist. So I need a lot of practising with other musicians. Here`s a problem! I`m afraid of doing it=) Maybe its a fear of making any mistakes, I dunno. I`m sitting alone in my room & trying to play as better as I can. But you know, after two years of doin` this, it caused a lack of inspiration. Hmm, i guess this kind of isolation is inadmissible for musician.
Please, tell me what to do! How to gain more self-confidence in this case? How to believe in myself? Its really important for me, `cause i want to express my feelings and emotions in my own music. And this diffidence prevent me from reaching my aim.
+ what do you think about girl on leads? (especially in neoclassic and thrash metal) Common reaction is "wtf?!" O_o
P.S. Thanx for your music, Marty! Love&Peace to you. Cheers from Kiev! |

{Common reaction is "wtf?!"}
That`s a great reaction!
I know it`s much harder for a girl to find jamming partners who don`t have ulterior motives, but unfortunately you will have to jam with as many people (and hopefully bands) as you can. I applaud female musicians, especially in rock, because they have to work way harder than guys do to get the same results.
That said, you are a girl, so make the best of it, and get out there and play! I am a huge fan of girls who play rock and want to see more! |
