Marty, I've been a fan of yours for years and just now I read you don't configure your equipment. I also read you have other people to do itfor you.
I got disappointed at this fact. I thought you'd care for every aspect of your sound, since it means so much to you. I feel sad to realize how mistaken I was about that.
I don't know why you do it, but I'd never let anybody configure my sound, otherwise the sound wouldn't be mine. Therefore, I care a lot about twiddling with knobs and reaching a sound that can represent me. Don't you think a true musician should care for every aspect of the sound? |

Don`t lose any sleep over it my friend. Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro? |
