hey marty ... i especially love the song eleven blue egyptians.. can you give any background information on that song ?? inspiration, modes, time signatures? thanks for your time

  MARTY'S ANSWER:  
 
That song came out of a bunch of Jams Jason and I used to do. The "11" came from the time signature of one of the worked out guitar/harmony parts sort of in the middle of the song. The "blue" is from the blues jam-like section at the end of the song. The "egyptian" is named for the egyptian sound of the main melody theme towards the beginning.
