  QUESTION:

Hi there Marty, Good work with all your stuff!! I have been playing for quite a few years now and music has become a major part in my life. I have developed an injury to my left arm due to playing and have had to stop for a few months. I was wondering if you have ever obtained any sort of injury from playing guitar and if you did, how did you manage in the mean time? Without sounding soft, this is really getting me down at the moment as I'm sure you understand not being able to play for some considerable time really sucks!! Thanks for taking the time to read my message. Keep rockin!!!

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

I did the entire Rust in Peace album under doctor`s orders to not play guitar. I would tell you to follow the doctor`s advice to the letter if possible, think hard and imagine the music you want to play as much as you can without actually playing. Go ahead and play guitar a very little bit, but make the notes count. Record everything you do. Good luck to you for a quick recovery.
