Hi Marty,
I have two questions:
1. Why is your new album "Loudspeaker" not available as a vinyl LP? Why only CD? Alot of bands and many solo artists are still releasing music on the LP format and I don't see a reason why a popular guitarist like you should not. Vinyl simply sounds better in every single way.
2. I am curious to know how "Loudspeaker" was recorded: was it recorded on analog multi-track tape and mixed digitally, is it all analog, or entirely digital?

1. Sadly not enough people own turntables to warrant a vinyl release. I`m a vinyl junkie, so I personally would love it.
2. If an engineer in this century says that he can`t make digital sound as good as analog, it`s time to get a new engineer. Analog recording is an old and impractical method. LS was done all digital, as have all the recordings I have done for quite some time. |
