  Title : Pick-in' your fingers

  QUESTION:

For about 10 years now I have been holding my pick "wrong" by using my thumb, first and second finger and twisting my forearm to play. I recently resolved to adapt to the "correct way" by grasping the pick between my thumb and the side of the last knuckle of my first finger. This has given me more control, but at the same time I have a much harder time hitting artificial harmonics. I used to need to bend my wrist to get my pick at a 45 degree angle to the strings for easy fast picking and intonation control, but I can't do that now. You appear to do some sort of hybrid of both methods. Will you please share details on how you hold your pick, and your methods for string attack angle, artificial harmonics, and intonation control? Thanks, and thanks for caring about music more than speed, you're an example.
