  QUESTION:

HI Marty! First I would just like to let you know that you are one of my favorite guitarists and hands down my biggest influence! So thanks for your music. Now I'm not a very rich person, and I was wondering if I really need all that expensive guitars, and gear to get the sound I want? I mean, I practice a lot, but sometimes I get discouraged because my guitar doesn't have the best fret access or thinnest neck, or I get discouraged about my amp being noisy or something. I currently have a 30-watt Randall combo amp, crybaby, mxr 6-band EQ, and a Dean TEVO. So I guess it comes down to this, should I be worrying about gear, or just not worry about that and spend as much time as possible practicing and jamming? Thanks, Jeff
