I got this crazy idea recently. I have been trying to transcripe rap vocal lines to lead guitar melodies. To my surprise it actually works and the result is often quite good! It's amazing how good it can sound.

My next plan is to learn to play classical guitar tunes and flamenco guitar tracks on my electric guitar and to make metal versions out of famous flamenco songs.

Do you think what I am doing is stupid or can it be considered useful?

I think it`s a great idea. This way you will sound unique and come up with things that no one can trace.
