hey marty, you always say that joining a band is really important if you want to make music. I however am not in a band but i work on my own instrumental guitar songs. I also plan to record a demo in a couple months. My question is should i keep doing what im doing or should i try to join a band. Im a senior in high school and practically everyone in bands either cant play worth a crap or is a stoner

try to do both. instrumental music won`t get you anywhere, especially at the beginning. Keep working on your own music as you try to join or form a band. Don`t expect so much from your first band, just get started--.
