  Title : Chasing two rabbits..

  QUESTION:

I'll TRY to keep this short.
I never knew much about you apart from the fact you can speak Japanese, so today had a quick look through your site, and after just 20 minutes you have become one of my biggest influences!
Not musically so much as I've yet to hear any of your music post-Megadeth (although I am a BIG fan of all that), but by your general attitude towards life and the replies you give to questions on here, I am inspired.

Now then, I read one of your replies on here was "If you chase two rabbits, chances are you won't catch either." I like that but it also scares me. ..Does it apply to everything?
I read you spent some time living in Germany and Hawaii - did you learn the native languages there?
Right now I am learning to speak French, Italian and Spanish, and also plan on learning Korean and Japanese as soon as possible. (..bad idea??)

(Sorry if you've been asked this before) When did you begin learning Japanese and what inspired you to?

If you reply to me I'll feel very privilaged indeed! Thanks & Merry Christmas!

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

I like that rabbit quote...If you like languages, by all means go for it! But you will likely be better at one language if you concentrate on that one rather than spread your efforts out over other languages.
