  QUESTION:

Hey Marty. Dilemma here. I am the oldest dude in my band at 30. I am also the most responsible and professional one (House, happy marriage, not in financial probs like the other 3). I have done so much for us like buy most of the quality equipment, fronting money for our CD's and merchandise, buying a nice ass PA. Anyhow, we are in a small town and gigs are very valueable here. We are talented enough to have the clubs want us there. It is an honor to be there and be well received. I know things have been going VERY well for us. However after nearly 2 years, burdens have finally caugght up to me. I recently found out that our drummer thinks he is a local "Rock Star" and thinks he can run his mouth at all thee places without recourse. Likewise my my bassist GF and my lead singer is getting arrogant. Im so the opposite. Now we are not invited back to these places anymore. Besides having a huge POWWOW with my guys, what should I bring up? Should I start over with a new group of guys? Should I replace a few members (whom are easily replaced) or am I just too good to be with someone bringing my professional image down?

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

Once again the question contains the answer...Do you really want to let your reputation be controlled by people who can be easily replaced?
Surround yourself with people you respect!
