why is it that you never really see any girl shredders, or girls who are very good at drums/bass? i think it would be awesome to be in a band with, or even see a chick that could kick my ass at guitar, but quite frankly there are none around. i know there are some all girl bands around, but none of em seem to be seriously dedicated to their instruments...

Why? Because for the most part, at the very important beginning stage of learning the guitar, girls don`t have the biggest motivational factor that guys have--`to get girls`...Plus girls have it harder than guys to find people to jam with without getting hit on or bothered. Finding people to jam with is way more important than practicing alone. I wanna see more great chick players. There are some and I respect them a lot, because they have it way harder than we do.
