Hihi Marty..
Thanks for the answer, and I understand your point, but I would love
to be able to use the scale for exploring some note patterns within the scale, maybe get inspired from how things can sound, and
make it "Go Off" as you would say.. Right now I seem to have a problem that whenever I jam everything sounds the same, and coming
up with new phrases is difficult for me. I placed an order in for your new DVD and I should be receiving it shortly, but even with
the new arsenal of licks, How do you possibly come up with some of the stuff you do? like where do you draw this magical
inspiration? Is that from excess hours playing normally and take the 1 "magical" lick out of say 100 and use them for your
recordings, or are your recordings just thought up stuff on the spot, cause I must say, some of your licks are quite amazing and I
can't see how anyone could possibly think up those things without long hours and hard work. I understand the more you play, the
better you get and the more inspiration comes to you, but maybe exploring the basic "sound" of you would help me boost the process.
If you take the time to answer this, I will be quite grateful, and if you do, Think you could tell me how you come up
with such wonderful progressions too? That is my biggest weakness, coming up with good progressions, but once I have them, Hours of
jamming ahead ^^ Thanks! |
