Can you tell me, in detail what is really required for a musician to go to any country. You really have to tell me in detail as I wanna know and then some...!

The reason is that Joe Satriani is coming to India on 13 May- and he is playing in three places Bombay, Calcutta and Bangalore. I am going for it - y 'see in terms of phrasing I ALWAYS rated JS second only to you!!!
Then I think, if he can come why cant you, if there are people ready to pay for him [I checked with the event people; sales are really good considering JS' "guitarist's guitar" reputation], why would we not pay for you - Indians visiting this post please back me up on this one..
Do tell me.. and do come someway. It will be my biggest musical dream come true..

Thanks for your compliments. What it comes down to is there has to be a competent promoter with a successful track record involved before many artists will go to any country. Reputation will spread by word of mouth. After Joe`s trip you can be sure I will check with him to see how his experience was, because I would love to play for my Indian friends as well.
