Title : Advice on Music Career

  QUESTION:

Marty,
I am trying to get a band going for my own solo project that has been writting itself for the past couple years. It is the best kind of music I always wanted to play. It's very personal and the compositions are great. It's very hard to find musicians who want to play it.

Sometimes I consider putting it on hold and try and join a band or something in the mean-time to get myself out there and meeting other musicians. But I've worked a lot on my project and I worry that if I don't do it now I may never pick it up with the same enthusiasm. What do you suggest for me to get my "career" going.

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

""Sometimes I consider putting it on hold and try and join a band or something in the mean-time to get myself out there and meeting other musicians."" So often people anwer their own questions. That is certainly the thing to do. Good intuition.
