Hey Marty I just wanted some advice on a problem. There is this kid at school who I wanted to jam with and he wanted to jam with me too, but the only time we got to jam together was one of four times we were supossed to meet up and play. When we did it was an immediate connection everything to how we played together and our tastes and points of view on music were all the same,it was perfect. He said he wanted to start a band so I said hell yeah!! but now everytime we set up a date he is always gone or missing. Gives me the feeling that he doesn't give a shit or that he isn't serious. But everytime I talk to him he is always so into it. Should I just give up on this guy.

You're right to consider dumping the guy, but if the chemistry is as good as you say, don't give up just yet, there may be something you don't know about causing his strange behavior. Give it time, but at the same time, look for other people to jam with. Good luck.
