I dont share your view on Tabs, cause its based on the Wrong assumption that every one is born with an ear for music...no, not everybody is as lucky as that! I say People who try to play and just dont have it, shouldnt be so easily discarded!

I don't believe in being 'talented' or 'born with an ear for music', every skill must be developed. Using tab is like cheating on a test; the immediate result looks good but you really haven't learned anything. Unfortunately there is no shortcut to develop your ear to a point where it is useful in a professional setting, the only way is to USE your ear A LOT, little by little picking up phrases, riffs, chord changes and melodies one at a time.
