Hi Marty, I have been learning chinese for about 2 months and I think that my imagination and my fluency and ability to project and order what I want to do in music have improved tremendously, did this happen to you when you learned japanese? if it did, the more you learned and practiced japanese, the more you improved in music?

You may have a point. Learning languages and music are almost identical in so many ways, that I wouldn't be surprised if one helps the other. They both use phrases to get your point across, and the way you speak (or play) reveals a lot about you.
