Hi Marty, We All Know u are the foremost absolutely best guitarist in the world. Period. So ill keep the ass kissing short man (Lol)
What i would like to know in ur new phrasing dvd uhm what range of player is it geared for (beginner, intermediate, pro....)
I have a little bit of music theory knowledge (Finished up to Grade 2 Rudiments of Music)...
The only problem is ill be damned if i remember alot of it, especialy scale and modes theory (dorian, locrian..) . My guitar playing technique is fairly good, just not necessarily my knowledge of theory.
Its pretty sad and a lame excuse but playing Rock has kinda Jaded my ability in the sense of improvisation due to the fact i didnt keep up with da theory side or for that matter diverse myself by learning extensively other styles of music. Which now im doomed to power chords and lame scales that most beginners start out with (Blues, Pentatonic, etc...) Its almost like guesswork nowadays (playing by ear) as opposed to knowing offhand what notes sound right with each other.....
So i was just wondering if u could provide insight in what relevance this dvd would have in regards to the topic, i plan on buying it regardless...
Thanks for ur Time. Dont ever retire dude, please !! (lol)

The thing about the dvd is, it is not aimed at any level of player. Many of the patterns are quite complex, but they are played so incredibly slowly and shot so clearly and close up that a relative beginner can actually find himself playing phrases that otherwise would take years, if ever, to discover. |
