Hi Marty,
As a lead guitarist, i noticed that the trend of playing music nowadays is to not have a lead guitar player in a band(most of the nu-metal bands and new age rock like creed, nickelback, linkin park etc...) So my question is, do you feel that what you've learnt all these years are a waste of your time?
Also, I noticed that nowadays, most of the new pop artists are not musically inclined, coz other people are making music for them. So my question is: what's your opinion on these type of 'musicians'?
One last question that is not related to music: Have you seen a ghost before? If so, can you tell the story about it? Sorry if i'm asking too much.I'm just curious, that's all.
Thanks Marty, you're the best. |

Aha~~you need to change your negative outlook on music. Many learning and amateur musicians share this outlook, it's normal, but it will stunt your musical growth--trust me!
""most of the new pop artists are not musically inclined, coz other people are making music for them.""
This has gone on since the beginning of time, and will go on forever. Please remember that just playing an instrument, even extremely well, means nothing to consumers. The only thing that matters is if a product makes you happy enough to spend your money on it.
Exercise your freedom to enjoy whatever you like, that's what all consumers do. |
