  QUESTION:

the coolest thing ever just happend to me. i've been really good for a time now. i would learn other peoples stuff and repeat it. i was basically just able to play other people's impresive works.

but, now when i play its like im one with the guitar. when im mad, i really dig into those strings, bend high- probly higher then strings should go. then release. relax the fingers, hit a sticato note then press the fingers down fast and violently. its like perfect articulation of how i feel. and the notes i hit, i don't know much guitar theory but its like i feel: "next note will be lower, then slide back" and it sounds so great.

only problem is i forget what the hell i did when it comes time to write it down. then when i do get it down and play it again i cant play it with the same feeling so it doesn't sound the way it did when i first played it.

You put such great feeling into your play. how do you hold onto the feeling that goes into your songs? will i be able to do it with time?

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

YES. You must record EVERYTHING you play and then re-learn it by ear. That is the process, my friend. Good luck.
