I think I have what it takes to take playing guitar to the next level where I can make a name for myself. Any suggestions on how I can go about getting word out there and becoming more recognized?

Get in a band ASAP and play out as much as you possibly can. Get seen and develop fans, one by one. That's really about it. Good luck.
