Hey Marty, Greetings from the Windy City! I've been a big fan of your music for a long time now. From Cacophony to Megadeth, and of course your solo work. It's truly amazing that you can play brutal but the same time "smart" metal music and also be able to make beautiful and interesting sounding melodies. I've been playing guitar for about 10 yrs now, I did all the "2-5 hr wood-shedding " back when I was 17, I guess I have decent chops, not good enough though to make it for a living, Ive learned to accept that. Well, my question is, When you had your arm on a sling (read it here some moths ago) Do you remember what nerve problem you had? Did it affect your playing? I currently have some nerve entrapped on my elbow and it affected my 4th and 5th digits on my left hand. I can still play some but its not the same, my doctor said it should take a few months for the nerve to heal. Do you do anything special to take care of your hands? I'm bummed out about the fact that this happened to me when I dont even play music for a living, not that I wish it happens to pro musicians or anything like that. Take Care Marty! |
