What would you say your favorite scales to use are??? I've been looking to expand my playing and I REALLY dig your style. I'm not trying to rip you off or anything, just gain some info and ideas. We're all just products of our influences anywho, right??? :D

I get this a lot, so everybody here goes--
If you were to learn some of my playing, you would find that I rarely use scales so to speak, but I use patterns that are kind of warped versions of what are little sections of probably traditional scales. So please learn some of the stuff by ear (or have a teacher show it to you) then you will understand that I can not name some scales or modes that will suddenly help you in any way. Why not make up your own patterns and 'scales' as well. There's no right or wrong, so just let your ear guide you!
