Title : Advice for Bands Getting Started

  QUESTION:

Hi Marty,

I am in a rock band with some of my friends and musicians I've met over the past few years....and we are trying to establish ourselves as a good band and start playing bigger gigs and expanding. I was wondering if you had any advice for guys like me looking to get their name out there and start playing gigs? So far we have been working hard to write new material.......and will be playing pretty much anywhere that we can, whether it's a paying gig or not. I figure that once people in our area know who we are......then we could start playing bigger gigs, but we need to start small. Is that a good way to go about it? Is there anything you could suggest me? BTW, Music For Speeding rules!!!

Thanks,
Kevin

Some guys just answer their own questions! It's amazing. Keep doing exactly what you're doing, and as much as you can.
