  QUESTION:

im just wondering how you and jason supported yourselves during the Cacophony days since the band's trademark was "long winded solos and strange harmonies"

How did you stay afloat with a limited number of fans?

Also, is there any room for Cacophony-like bands in today's world?

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

There is and always has been room for every kind of music. That doesn't mean that one can make a living from it. Cacophony's tours were a lot of fun and the fans were amazing, but like many bands with even more commercial music than we had, we lost money on the road and took years to recoup our recording budgets. Jason and I taught guitar for a living at that time.
