I was inspired to check guitar playing and fell in love with it overtime... I'm a bit late to study to play guitar coz I'm actually a young adult now.

could you give me some advice on how to improve faster so I can play descently enough to impress my girl... Which is the better way to learn to play, acoustic or electric? I already order my first Les Paul and a Boss effects Pedal, currently using now a Martin acoustic guitar...

Hey! With the caliber of gear you are able to afford despite being just a beginner, forget about impressing her with your playing, take her to Paris or something romantic like that!!
Seriously, there is no `faster` way to do anything well. You gotta practice the same as anyone else...
