Is there any advantage in playing with a neck PU when soloing, any special effects ... you have said that you use neck PU for some solos ....do let me know..

The neck PU gives you a smooth 'creamy' tone that is even better when the neck PU tone knob is turned to zero. Try it on a nice slow sustaining melody and you'll be hooked!
