First of all, I would like to say thanks for writing such great music throughout the years. Your playing has been a huge influence on mine and has undoubtably made me a far more melodic player than before I started studying your music.

Anyways..to the question..

What is your outlook on "modern" "metal" (from a guitarists perspective)- korn, limp biscuit, linkin park? Dont you cringe at its atrocity and lack of musicianship?

Are you crazy? Those guitarists and bands are doing extremely interesting and cool stuff! If it weren't for bands and musicians like that, worldwide interest in the guitar would have dropped off the map completely. Listen to the Linkin Park record in particular, and you will hear some amazing playing and production, not to mention a wonderful massive guitar sound.
