Title : Why did you feature less on later albums?

  QUESTION:

this is my question :

Over the course of the 5 albums you did with Megadeth your playing seemed to feature less and less. Whereas on the early albums every song featured a "Marty solo" and often 2 or 3, on later albums, especially Risk, there seemed to be less all out solos and your playing feaured more as textures and fills. Why was this and were you happy with it?

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

I felt that the Megadeth's traditional 'vrs brg cho, vrs brg cho, solo' structure was dated and I wanted to avoid that and try to do things that were more interesting is a subtler way. However, on an un-subtle note, on my new solo album, there are enough guitar solos for 5 albums...Why? Because it was time.
