My question is this: What do you think of flamenco style guitar playing? Are you a fan of it, and have you ever learned that kind of playing technique? Im only asking because some of your stuff (the clean solo in Holy Wars) sounds really spanishish and very cool.

I have the ultimate respect for flamenco playing. For me, it is about the highest level of guitar. I'll be honest with you, I can only fake playing flamenco. I did pick up a few phrases from Carlos Montoya though...
I don't know any rock players who can play REAL flamenco except my friend Ben Woods, who played a little flamenco on my last album.
BTW, as much as I like the 'Holy Wars' acoustic part, it truly is not flamenco playing. It's just my typical weird playing done on a nylon string gtr!
