It seems after you joined the band Dave took a huge step up musically,especially playing.He's awsome but I think having your presence around made him kinda competetive,solo wise.Thanks for making a good band great. Did he ever come to you about guitar of any kind?

I think we both gained a lot from each other as players, because we both have our own styles. We often worked on guitar together making records, and when it came to unique, interesting rhythms Dave was the man. Melodies and textures was my department. But we often switched those roles too, and that's how we got to put into use what we learned from each other.
