After all of this time reading your opinions and watching you talking about"making music not just PLAYING EXCERSISES" i FINALLY understood it!!! The other day i went to audition a guitarist and i was TERRIFIED ,the guy told me that he played songs from michael angelo,Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert when i finaly got there the guy played for me the speed kills,the crossroads theme, and some by Paul...and i was shitting my PANTS!!, but when we finally got to actually jamming the guy was BLANK ZERO!!!, the guy only played"exercises" and arpeggios and when i saw that i just remebered and it made me look at the meodic control video again...hehehe thanks marty...

This is a big problem. It is easy to get caught up in the technical challenges of playing guitar and completely forget the goal of just creating good new music. The sooner one recognizes this, the sooner he or she will be on their way to becoming a better musician.
