  QUESTION:

Im 19 and from Chicago. Im a very serious guitar player/musician and I started playing at 13. I will be attending Berklee school of music in a couple of years. I practice all the time and if I dont I make sure I at least play a song or two for the day.

My question to you is how much did you practice to get where you are. I can play some stuff of yours but I am for sure not up to your speed. I am an advanced player but still have a long way to go.

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

Getting to 'where I am' has very little to do with any kind of practice and more to do with dealing with many different people and treating them the way I would like to be treated. That and when it comes to making music, I'm the first one to show up and the last to leave. Best of luck.
