Hi Marty,
I just found your official site and wanted to say to you congratulatiuons for being such an
incredible guitarist and musician and thankyou for the musical pleasure, joy and
inspiration that you have brought me. I first discovered you when I heard Tornado of Souls
on a local metal radio program back in 1990. I was blown away then and I still think its
incredible. I saw you twice on that tour in sydney and it was awesome. I got Dragons Kiss and over the years
have eagerly awaited your next solo release.
The way you combine so many emotions in your very distinctive playing
...from agressive to triumphant to haunting and beautiful is amazing and wonderful.
I know you have worldwide success but I still think that in guitar mags and especially
in the wider, more genaral music media you are not given the recognition and praise you deserve.
Some guitarists are very good in one genre of music,
but you excel in so many and are so original and induvidual.
Scenes is beautiful and awesome and so original in its concept.
My favourite three guitaists in equal magnitude are:
Marty Friedman, Steve Vai and Steve Stevens,
