DaveM put some news up on the megadeth website. He basically said he couldn't get you or DaveE to come play. Was it because you just didn't want to do it, or because he wasn't going to pay you enough? Or was it conflicting schedules?
Did you hear Mustaine went holy-roller? The world has truly turned, although I'm happy for him. Ahh well, the world can turn, but RIP Megadeth will always be the real one, and RIP will always be the quintessential megadeth album. Man, it just sucks to see four guys living the dream even us successful guys would kill to have - only to find it's just a business and you guys aren't buddies - even though you've said before they are... man... oh well...

I have no interest in a Megadeth reunion right now. It doesn't mean that I won't in the future, but now what I'm doing musically interests me much more than what Megadeth would.

As far as 'buddies' when you play 1000 plus concerts all over the world with the same 4 guys, it goes beyond 'buddies' and beyond even family in some ways. But if you think for one minute that a band that generates the kind of money that any multi-platinum band makes is not a business, you are mistaken. In some ways it is very much like an office job-lots of hard work that you want to get paid for. But in many other ways, it's about the closest 4 guys can get without turning gay. You can't compare it to anything else but maybe a champion sports team.
