hi marty and congratulations for your music.
I think that through
years music lost the feeling and sensuality. Guitar players are not giving us (and all the people who pay to listen to their cd's)
MUSIC. I mean MUSIC, not music! Great bands and artists like Iron maiden , Metallica, Queensryche, Michael Schenker, even you are
just a shadow of theirselves. (Sorry Marty but that's my opinion) I can't compare monuments like "Dragon's kiss" or "Scenes"
with your last album. (although I have it and I like it) It is loss of interst for the music they used to play? It's experimental?
It's a "let's go for the money" way of acting?
I want your point of view for the subject. I'm not a dissapointed fan, I
love those that I mentioned. I'm just confused.
Congratulations again for all your work.
Very friendly,
Gus.
P.S. sorry for the bad English. |

Thanks for your letter. Your opinion is very important. What you must remember is that
your opinion is just that; YOUR opinion. I don't know anything about the other artists you mentioned, but in order to continue to
make music, a musician must evolve and grow and constantly win over new fans, not just rest on their laurels of past achievements.
Whereas you may like older versions of an artist, other people may prefer the newer material. I think it would be pretty silly for
me (or anyone) to continuously repeat something from the late 80's or early 90's in the year 2003 don't you? |
