Title : Equipment Questions about Perpetual Burn

  QUESTION:

Hi Marty, I have a few questions about the equipment that you and Jason used for his Perpetual Burn album. I found a bit of info on Jason's site here is his comment below: (The tone is really awesome. I got lucky to use one of Marty's student's Marshalls, with my white and black hurricane guitar and a Boss super overdrive pedal.) What I was hoping you could tell me is which Model and Year was the Marshall amp that your student had lent you and Jason, also was the amp modified for more gain. On the guitar side what pickups did you and Jason use in your guitars for that album. And for songs like temple of the absurd (one of my personal favorites) Was the intro and Jason's harmonized solos double tracked or did he make use of a eventide harmonizer to create that effect or did you guys ever use a harmonizer? Sorry for putting you through the fourth degree Marty with all these questions. I know it was ages ago back in 87/88 When you did these recordings with Jason but I had to ask the shred tone on that album is killer!!! Thanks, James P.S. any other cool info you can remember about that recording would be awsome! Thanx once again Marty, James
