Title : How could you say that?

  QUESTION:

How could you say that Hendrix was overrated when his contemporaries couldn't figure out how he could create those amazing sounds? He was nothing like his public image, which was exaggerated to capture attention during the wild times of the 60's. He was really a shy introverted man who politely answered all the questions in interviews and wouldn't hurt a fly usually. He lived for his music and your comments would've really hurt him since he was the consummate professional-working on the same song for days until he thought it was good enough for the album. If you don't believe me, then maybe you'll believe the "Making of Electric Ladyland" DVD.

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

Wow here they come! Hendrix is definitely alive in the eyes of the fans as 35 letters piled in overnight on this topic alone. To all of you-remember that what I said is only my opinion, and it doesn't mean I am 'right'. The great thing about humans is the fact that no 2 people have the exact same taste. Don't be disillusioned that even though you may be a huge fan of mine, that my taste may differ considerably from yours. People are different. I'm not a Hendrix fan at all, but I love Frank Marino, who is a massive Hendrix fan. Go figure. I reserve the right to contradict myself. So should you.
