Hello Marty. My name is Zakk and I have been playing guitar for 14 years.I started when I was about 5. I am starting to get frustrated with my current band,I feel my playing is not being used/challenged enough. I want to do other things, but I have friends in this band I do not want to hurt. When you left Megadeth it must have been a hard desicion, how do I go about doing this? Ps .Music for speeding is amazing, keep up the great work! Zakkary |

Hard choice, but it's these kind of choices that decide if you are going to really be a 'musician' in your life, or a dude with a lot of friends. If you are not pushing your ability TO THE LIMIT AND PAST, get out now and stop wasting any more precious time. I have done this many times in my career for the exact reason you have and you know what, maybe not right away, but eventually I wound up remaining friends with every single person in the bands that I left. Including Megadeth. If the members don't respect you for making a decision that is going to make you a better musician, who needs 'em anyway??
Best of luck to you. |
