hey god! i got all ur albums and the m'deth cd's etc etc and i know im the billionth person 2 say it but i aint one o those ppl who r jus bein nice cos its u who's readin it, i jus need 2 get it off ma chest, when i say your one of the most outstanding guitarists i have ever heard, ACTUALLY :|! id kill to be able to play like you do, ur a bluddy genious, its so good to listen to real fucking man-made music and its people like you that remind the world how much talent there still is today, but they turn their radios on and they see the front cover of the book, they see the eminem, the limp bizkit, and its the whole idea of not bein a shallow bastard and bein able 2 read deep into the novel, which u've done time and time again. give dr dre a fckin guitar and tell him to create real music, i mean come on, its a bit ironic how they go on about 'keepin it real' when they are possibly the most unreal, manufactured pieces of shit to hit the earth...ever. i jus luv listenin to your music i cant realy get enough of it, and come to england soon, PLEASE!!!! It would literally be a dream to see you. lookin forward 2 hearin your forthcomin projects, but for gods sake pleeease come play in britain, u know u want to, haha. with it bein home of metal n evrythin... ;) ccya mate. |

Thanks Tom. I appreciate your kind words. Here's my take on what you say. I have heard many times 'give so and so a guitar and see if he can play THIS or THAT'. I appreciate the spirit of what you are trying to say, but it is really like comparing apples and oranges. Where Dr.Dre may not be able to play "Holy Wars" on a guitar, he has the ability to create music which speaks to enourmous numbers of people in such a manner that makes them want to spend their hard earned money on it. That is harder, I believe to do than mastering a musical instrument and should not be overlooked. Everyone has different tastes in music, the key to enjoying music is ignore what you don't like, and don't worry that it may be more popular than the genre that you like. A lot of rock and metal fans really despise rap and hip hop. Why? Those artists are not preventing you from going out and finding the music you like. Either ignore it or try to find out what makes it so popular and then decide for yourself what you think. Either way, it's great to get compliments like yours and I hope to go to Britain soon!!!! |
