Title : Reviews of my work

  QUESTION:

Hi Marty! I wanna say first that I've been a fan for a long time, I'm 19 and started playing guitar about 5 years ago. I'm in between moving countries, so I'm recording instrumentals on my own to perform since I'll be moving and can't dedicate to a band for long term. I'm new to being critiqued, and am a bit insecure about negative reviews. How do you recommend I manage a negative review and not be too down on my own work or playing? Thanks man, you're awesome!

  MARTY'S ANSWER:

I hate to be brutally honest, but if you are insecure about negative reviews, you are in the wrong business, because they will never stop coming, even (and especially) when you sell millions of albums. If you like what you are doing, there is no reason to be insecure about what anyone ever says about it. Just be happy that they have an opinion one way or another! Good luck-
