  QUESTION:  
 
Hey, my name is stephen and i have been playing guitar for about 2 years, i am 17. First of all i just want to say you are one of my idols and you are a GOD who i would bow to any day. That being said, i have a question about music theory. I have been learning it for a short while now and i want to know: is it worth it when writing songs? Will it give me an advantage?

Everything is "worth it". In music, as in anything, you only get out of it EXACTLY what you put into it. There are no secrets, tricks, tips, shortcuts-nothing. It`s really simple. The more you work, the better your final product will be. Good luck.
